EMERGENCY MEDICAL VEHICLE OPERATOR (EMVO)
Reports to:
Shift Leader
Job Summary:
The EMVO performs various patient care activities in the pre-hospital setting, in accordance with all rules and regulations set forth by the state Emergency Medical Services Commission.
Essential Functions:
Performs CPR in compliance with either AHA or ARC standards.
Performs daily vehicle supply and maintenance check and cleans both inside and outside of assigned unit on a daily basis.
Maintains an immediate response time on all given calls.
Maintains patient confidentiality, initial HIPAA in-service at hire date then annually hereafter.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs similar, less skilled tasks, including assisting with clerical duties within the department.
Demonstrates flexibility, as patient care needs change.
Works in cooperation with co-workers and supervisory staff.
Maintains quarters to be clean and free from hazards.
Maintains outside property to be orderly and free of hazards.
Follow chain of command for reporting hazards / problems.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid WV Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator card, and maintain state requirements.
Must possess a WV valid driver's license, and 16 hour EVOC.
Must possess the ability to operate an Emergency Vehicle safely at all times.
Working Conditions:
OSHA Category I tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
Also, will be working outside in inclement weather.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - BASIC (EMT-B)
Reports to:
Shift Leader
Job Summary:
The EMT performs various patient care activities in the pre-hospital setting, in accordance with all rules and regulations set forth by the state Emergency Medical Services Commission.
Essential Functions:
Operates the EMS communication center at times, and records all information obtained.
Performs pre-hospital duties in compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations.
Performs CPR in compliance with either AHA or ARC standards.
Performs pre-hospital BLS duties in compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations and under the direction of the squad medical director.
Performs daily vehicle supply and maintenance check and cleans both inside and outside of assigned unit on a daily basis.
Maintains an immediate response time on all given calls.
Actively participates in safe delivery of patient care and maintains a safe environment for all patients.
Maintains patient confidentiality, initial HIPAA in-service at hire date then annually hereafter.
All paperwork must be completed entirely and turned in to the supervisor by the end of shift.
Retrieves all equipment, and supplies at the time of the call.

Performs pre-hospital ALS duties in compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations and under the direction of the squad medical director.
Performs daily vehicle supply and maintenance check and cleans both inside and outside of assigned unit on a daily basis, refuels prior to shift change.
Maintains an immediate response time on all given calls.
